Much of science of chemistry le concerned wt th making and breaking of chemical bonds. Pauling1 bu defined chemical bond as follows: "There is a chGlllical bond between two atoms or groups ot atom in case that the forces acting between the• aa such as to lead to the formation of aggregate with sufficient atability to make it convenient for the chemist to consider it aa an independent molecular The uord •stability• means the •strength of cheaical bond• which is given by bond energies expressed in Kcal/110le.
