Abstract:
The study on "Impact of Livestock Policies and Programmes of the
Govern ent of Bangladesh" was undertaken as an important issue of development in the recent years. Creation of self-employment for poverty alleviation has been considered as an important objective of government's " Poverty Reduction Strategy Plan". Ih an agro-based country like Bangladesh, where livestock and poultry husbandry occupies top priority, the undertaking of such research work no doubt carries significance.-----------------
